Fees are payable at the time of visit, unless special arrangements have been made. Check, credit card and cash are accepted. In Maine acupuncture practitioners are licensed based on passage of a national examination administered by the National Commission for the Certification of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. Acupuncture performed by licensed acupuncturists is now covered by many insurance policies.
